Chapter Philanthropy and Service

The Delta Upsilon chapter at Ohio Wesleyan is able to host different philanthropy events in order to raise money for St. Jude Children’s hospital alongside being able to show our campus what St. Jude means to us as a chapter. 

 

In the past year, we have hosted a spikeball tournament on campus in which people were able to set up a team of 5 and we would play in rounds of eliminations. All these rounds led to a championship round and the campus got together and had a lot of fun! We have also been able to host Deltas on the Block which has been a tradition at Ohio Wesleyan. We were able to bring it back after a few years and we played a bunch of different backyard games. Our entire chapter gathered together and remembers Deltas on the Block as a wholesome memory this past semester. 

 

On top of our philanthropy events, we have also been able to participate in Sincerely Yours. Since 1999 ,Sincerely Yours has been one of the most successful events for our collegiate members in raising funds and awareness for St. Jude. Money raised through the Sincerely Yours campaign has propelled Tri Delta forward in fulfilling previous fundraising commitments to St. Jude. Sincerely Yours has given us an opportunity to bond as a sisterhood alongside building our networks. 

 

I am extremely proud of this chapter and their dedication to always want more for ourselves. As the philanthropy chair, I am excited to step into this role and continue to grow with our chapter in order to raise money for St. Jude and be dedicated to our philanthropy!
